Have you ever bought “S13/R32 fitment” Ganador mirrors for your S13 or R32 because someone on the internet told you they would fit, only to be disappointed when they didn’t fit properly? You’re not alone.

One of the most common misconceptions with Ganadors is that S13 and R32 mirrors are interchangeable.

We see it all the time in listings - people advertising them as “S13/R32 fitment” and implying they suit both models without issue. On the surface, it makes sense. The mirrors look similar, and the bolt holes line up.

But that doesn’t mean they actually fit properly.

The confusion comes from the fact that you can physically bolt them onto either car. The mounting points are close enough that they go on without modification, and for many people, that’s enough to assume they’re the same.

They’re not.

With all Ganador mirrors, what matters isn’t just whether they bolt on - it’s how the base sits against the door. More specifically, how it interfaces with the rubber trim and follows the contour of the door itself.

This is where the difference between S13 and R32 Ganadors becomes obvious.

The lower edge of the base is shaped differently for each chassis. On the correct car, the base sits flush, following the door line and sealing cleanly against the rubber trim.

Everything lines up exactly as intended. Swap them over, and that’s where the fitment falls apart.

The base no longer matches the door profile. Instead of sitting flat, it either presses awkwardly into the rubber or lifts in certain areas. The mirror still bolts on, but it never quite sits right. It looks visibly off, and you can see it in the way it mounts.

This isn’t something you can fix with adjustment, because the issue isn’t alignment - it’s the shape of the base itself.

That’s why calling them “S13/R32 fitment” is misleading. While they share similar mounting points, they were never designed to be interchangeable. Each version was built around a specific door shape and how the base meets the trim.

Here at Aero Twenty Three, we’ve taken that into account from the start. Our S13 and R32 mirrors are produced as completely separate models, each with its own dedicated tooling to match the correct door profile and mounting points.

We don’t produce a “one-size-fits-both” version. Each mirror is designed specifically for its chassis, so the base sits the way it should - flush, consistent, and true to the original lines of the car.

Because with something noticeable like Aero Mirrors, the details matter, the small differences are what determine whether it fits properly or not.
